Emergency Medicine
Hi, my name is John Jiao, MD, MHS and I am an emergency medicine physician certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. I have practiced full-time in Southern California since 2022 and I live here with my wife, kids, and three dogs!
I completed his residency at the Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, GA, a high-acuity trauma center with one of the busiest emergency departments in the country.
I am fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
UC Irvine School of Medicine
I attended medical school at the University of California, Irvine from 2015 to 2019.
During this time I served on the board of the Emergency Medicine Interest Group for three years including as co-president in my final year.
Johns Hopkins University
Prior to medical school, I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree from the Johns Hopkins University with a major in molecular biology and a minor in psychology. During this time I was honored to receive the designation of Bloomberg Scholar as well as Gates Millennium Scholar.
I then went on to obtain a Masters in Health Science degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with a concentration in biochemistry & molecular biology. I wrote my thesis on antibiotic stewardship and the future of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
(Remember, it’s Johns Hopkins, not John Hopkins!)
